Amos's grandfather. Same sideburns as well.

In 1974 w:c:emmerdale:w:c:emmerdale:Amos Brearly hung up a painting in the back room of w:c:emmerdale:w:c:emmerdale:The Old Woolpack. He said it was his late grandfather.

It was no doubt his paternal grandfather as Amos said the Brearly's were undertakers. Amos said his grandfather was the founder of the undertakers business. So the man was Mr Brearly. Amos did not state his grandfathers first name.

Amos's grandfather Mr Brearly was born in about 1860 in w:c:emmerdale:w:c:emmerdale:Bridlington, East Yorkshire. He set up an undertakers business. He had a son in about 1895.

Mr Brearly had died by 1972.

In January 1974, Amos got hold of a painting of his late grandfather and hung it up on the wall of his back room.
