Frank Edward Blakey was a character in Emmerdale Farm from Episode 17 (11th December 1972) to Episode 130 (22nd January 1974). He was the village blacksmith and got married to Janie Harker in 1973 . He left Beckindale in January 1974 to be a teacher at a school in Essex. When Janie returned in 1986 for a short while, she said her marriage to Frank had dissolved. Frank was played by Eric Allan.

Backstory
Frank Edward Blakey was born in 1941. He later became a blacksmith and moved to the forge.
1972-1974
Frank Blakey was once accused of selling a story to the press which besmirched George Verney. The real culprit was Jack Sugden. Frank started dating Janie Harker and Frank and Janie married in 1973. In January 1974, Frank was offered a teacher's job in Essex and he accepted. Frank and Janey left Beckindale soon after.
By 1986 when Janie returned to the village to see her sister Pat Sugden she said her marriage to Frank was over.
