Synopsis[]
w:c:emmerdale:Matt Skilbeck and w:c:emmerdale:Dolly Skilbeck struggle with baby w:c:emmerdale:Sam Skilbeck II crying in his cot. They then have the baby sleep with them. Meanwhile w:c:emmerdale:Seth Armstrong gets ex Home Farm employee w:c:emmerdale:Jackie Merrick into bother with w:c:emmerdale:Alan Turner when he wants him to sneak some chicken wire to him. Turner catches him so Jackie dumps the wire and runs. w:c:emmerdale:John Tuplin tries to reason with Turner about his hardline ways of treating the staff. w:c:emmerdale:Daniel Hawkins claims he is a cowman, not a general labourer when he and the others are asked to move rubble out of w:c:emmerdale:Primrose Dingle. Turner reads ther contracts and it says that they are all "General labourers". Tuplin says that the contracts are only drawn up for the convenience of the office. They still think they have specified jobs. w:c:emmerdale:Amos Brearly also bans the Home Farm workers from discussing union matters in The Woolpack, so they all leave.
