Notes[]
This episode featured the first ever outdoor shots of the new w:c:emmerdale:Purpose Built Emmerdale Village Set at Harewood, Yorkshire, which had been constructed the previous year. After 22 years of filming in w:c:emmerdale:Esholt, West Yorkshire, a new replica was built to make it easier to film "village" scenes away from the public and without disrupting the Esholt residents lives again. As of 2021, the Harewood set remains in use. The first ever outdoor scenes of the new " village set" shown on screen was of Biff Fowler trying to stop Roy from going to Home Farm to confront Chris Tate over Kelly.
In a sense of irony, in late 2016, a one off scene was filmed in Esholt where w:c:emmerdale:Ashley Thomas, now suffering with dementia had a skewed memory and remembered how the village looked in 1979.
