Elizabeth Skilbeck (Nee Barlow) was an unseen character in Emmerdale Farm. She was the mother of w:c:emmerdale:Matt Skilbeck. Elizabeth died in the 1950s when he was young.
In a January 1974 episode, Matt spoke about his parents and said their names. He had wanted to name his son Samuel Oliver Skilbeck but his initials would be SOS, so named him Samuel William Skilbeck instead. Matt said he gave his daughter Sally her middle name of Elizabeth after his mother.
